Emergency Medical Patients: Assessment, Care and Transport (EMPACT) Course

The training program that emphasizes group discussion, case studies, and Socratic method to help new and veteran practitioners alike better understand and refine the differential of the medical patient. Realistic imagery and facilitated learning form the basis for a supportive, low-stress environment to explore the depth of a medical complaint to the extent not previously seen in other medical assessment programs.

This innovative program uses case-driven discussions in both large and small group activities to develop the differential processes necessary in the management of acute medical patient. It accomplishes this goal by using a variety of teaching techniques directing participants to effectively use and rely on both critical thinking and decision making skills to effectively treat medical emergencies.

The EMPACT course has been updated to include the American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. The EMPACT course directs participants to effectively use and rely on both critical thinking and decision making skills to effectively treat medical emergencies. EMPACT focuses on clinical assessment, differential diagnosis identification and the treatment of medical patients. Topics covered within the EMPACT curriculum include case-based scenarios focused on: Medical Patient Assessment, Airway Management, Shock, Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies, Altered Mental Status just to name a few. 

This course consists of a 2 days face-to-face attendance, which will take place in Al Awasi International Training Centre.

From 0800 am to 0500 pm.

  • Allergic Reactions.
  • Medical Emergencies (mixed).
  • General Malaise.
  • Shortness of Breath.
  • Altered Mental Status.
  • Neurological Emergencies.

Al Awasi international training center is an approved training center for EMPACT.

After successfully completion of the course you will get an international certificate with no need for authentication from Sudan foreigns affair ministry.

The certificate is accepted in different countries worldwide.

Successful completion (certification) requires the following:

  • Written Evaluation: Successful Completion Requires correct score of 80% or better.

Good english language, as the instruction and assessment language is english.

Participants must be a healthcare provider.

Reading the course book is highly recommended.

After completing the registration and paying the course fees, you will receive the course reading material.

How long is the course?

The course is one day, starting 0800 am to 0500 pm.

At the end of the course there will be a assessments written with a pass mark of 80%.

Is there an expiration date for the certificate?

All international certificates have an expiration date. In this course the certificate will expire after 4 years from the course completion date.

Do I need to read the course material?

Yes, it’s important to prepare before the course by reading the course material.

Can I pay in the course day?

Yes, however we can NOT give you the course material unless you pay the full amount and can NOT reserve the course seat for you also.
